I'd reinstall your operating system. Im sure theres enough resources on here to do so, if not, google is perfect.

Okay, follow these steps. Correct me if I am wrong.
Do you have a Reformat CD that came with your PC or a restore cd?
If not, then I will help you make one on your own.
You need a blank DVD first of all.
You can reinstall your Windows by picking a Operating System (OS) you would like, I would rather let you use the Operating System (OS) you are using. If you are using Windows XP on your current PC then download Windows XP what version you are using & burn it into a ISO (Image) file. Then, make sure you have the Product Key, be hide your PC, without that the window you will reinstall will crash again in 30 days because you haven't acative the window key, using a Patch for it will only make it worth cause it can crash after that. Also make sure you download the right Windows that has already install on your PC, after the Burning the CD, pop it in & reinstall, make sure you follow all of the steps their very easy, If you would like a copy of the Window XP, reply and tell me what Version you would like & I will post it for you.

Alright, I reformatted the computer but I didnt have to use the disc plus I didnt have it. As soon as I turn on the computer I had to press F11 or F12 or something to go to some menu and Symantec opened up and restored everything from when I first got the computer. Sad part is I lost half my music included the cd I had 40 minutes done already.

Wow So sad, you had other options i think. you shouldah called Customer support and they could of sent you the Restore disk's. and i believe deleting everything wasn't necessary because there's a way to back up your recovery partion , if you have the recovery cd's. Someone please correct me if im wrong or not?
