ok so i built my own computer i finished it yesterday connected all the wires. im having a problem when i turn the computer own i dont see anything on the screen. and when i connect the IDE wires to the 2 dvd drives they dont open at all when the IDE wire is connected to the motherboard when i plug out the IDE wire they work fine open and close but i cant install anything without the IDE wire connected. if any one built a computer and had have any of these problems or have any idea can you please help me thanks.

i think the first thing that it soupose to happen is when u first turn on the computer it has to go to the BIOS menu. but when i turn it on nothing shows up at all on VGA or HDMI idk why help :(

ive built my own computer from scratch like this, and i have no worries so far,the first thing u shud see on ur screen is the boot screen-running tru bios,etc,-u will not be takin into the bios menu, after everything u shud see "reboot and select proper boot device"(then u insert the windows cd into ur cd drive and run the install)
since u are not seeing anything on the screen,i wud suggest u disconnect all ide hardware, like hard drive, floppy drive,cd/dvd drives, and turn on the computer with your mouse and keyboard and screen connected, see if u get anything on screen there,if u do,continue to plug in your hard drive-boot up again, let it recognize the hard drive, then move onto cd/dvd drive

also try moving the memory stick in slot 1 to slot 3-then try to boot

if not try clearing the cmos by pressing the red small button on the bak of ur computer-then boot after disconnecting al the ide hardware i said before^^

i see ur hard drive is sata-please use sata slot 0 for the hard drive

plus u shud have gotten all sata hardware instead of having ur cd/dvd drive ide and then hard drive sata-but its no biggie

use vga as ur video cable for now, till everything is set and good

hit me up on aim man: busupshut2006 ill be glad tuh help

yea man look closely on your motherboard,it shut have the slots labled,if im correct there should be a slot 0 .

Look i took a picture of my motherboard for you,as an example

and i labled all slots too,but some motherboard are diffrent in the slot orders, but theey shud be labled,as u can see i circled where it says sata_0

and move that main power cable to the motherboard, from under the heatsink, thats bothering me lol,the heat frum the heatsink cud melt the plastic on the wire!

not the 2nd mem, leave that there, move the first one to the 3rdslot,and the cd/dvd drive not to shure abt that yet,but i wud wait till we get visuals on the screen first then move onto that, thats why i told u disconnect everything and then hook hard drive upto slot_0 and move on form there, use vga video cable
