Electro voice ZXA1 SUB

    Anyone uses this powered subwoofer

    I used one of them paired with two EV ZLX-15P's in a small ish room and they hit low which is pretty good.

    I use a pair of sx300 electrovoice 12 inch. I had a set of matching subs but got rid of them. I find the sx300 are sufficient. I use seperate Electrovoice amps for both speakers and subs.
    What do you think of passive as opposed to powered sub.

    Its not a bad sub for it's size. For a small event such as a house party it will be sufficient. Anything larger than that and you will need to use more than 1. Also it starts to drop off below 50hz.

    Its pretty good sub for the size you can do a lot of small parties

    I have a relative that has this however, it can be a little overpowering

    This sub has a switch that that can be used either NORMAL or LOW END BOOST. What does this Low End Boost do? When do you switch to either normal or the low end boost? I have two powered speakers by the way.
