external hdd problem

    my external hard drive stopped working out of nowere. i tried to see if i could do somethin but i apparently made it worse.

    i have a Western Digital My Book Essential 1.5TB USB External Hard Drive.

    i was wondering if i can turn it into a internal??

    It depends on the hard drive inside of the external enclosure. Is it 3.5"?

    When I google Western Digital My Book Essential 1.5TB USB External Hard Drive and Western Digital My Book Essential 1.5TB USB External Hard Drive 3.5, I get two different hard drives.

    You can turn any HD internal with right connections, the question is the HD dead, might need to have it serviced if it's covered unda warranty... .. . Seagate's are good for that 5 yr warranty.
