welll heres my story and hope somone can help me out ..
well after downloading a cd from this site and restarting my computer i had a error message with A blue screen that said ..

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Disabke or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical information:
    *** Stop: 0X00000024 (0X00190203, 0X8970E008, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000)

WELL i cant do none of that because i cant get into safemode or any of the other option the have ..it comes back to the blue screen error message ..

so i was wondering if anyone out there have had this kinda problem and knows how to fix it or what keys should i tap or what not can hellp me out a little

thanks in advance ....o yea i only have two of the cds that came with the computer ..OPERATING SYSTEM and DRIVERS AND UTILITIES if that helps ...

Aight herez wat u shud do first...buy a Hard Drive External Case...this turns yur Hard drive u have in yur pc right now into a seperate hard drive on a different computer!!!...so if u really care bout wat u have on yur hard drive then u shud do dat first...just to make sure its yur hard drive thats not messed up...(if yur hard drive is messed up, den just return the Hard Drive Case to the store)!!!...

looks like we gotta corrupted windows here. i'm not sure if anyone is familiar with the method i use:

    1. create a new partition using the os disc. this is gonna be temporary so 6 gb (6144 in mb) should be more than enough.

    2. install windows on the new partition.

    3. after the installation is completed, access c drive & backup your files from the previous copy of windows.

    4. delete both partitions after the backup is completed (don't forget you have to use the os disc + allocated space will merged).

    5. now press c in the unpartitioned space to create a new partition & then press enter to install a fresh copy of windows.

If you're going to use the method that mastahpiece suggested, you better hope that you didn't set your account to private or else everything in your documents and settings folder for your username will be inaccessible. If you never set a password then you're good.
If you clicked yes on this screen then you're screwed unless you know how to use xp hacking tools.

admins are allowed to access the files, that's only for users with limited accounts.
i had my account set to private. it's safe.
