   curious on how to add more memory to my desktop without removing my old hard drive

   Desktops usually have extra bays for additional hard drives. You can probably just add an internal one if you don't want to add an external one. External hard drives are more simpler, but are less reliable.
   
   For the computer nerds that might get at me about that last statement^, External Hard Drive Enclosures are unreliable as f.uck.
