How does the media influence the public in your opinion? Very much so. News shows and articles play a major role in shaping my political opinion; however, this does not mean I take everything for granted. I tend to be very cautious of the type of media I consume. Many sources today are pushing a certain agenda and can not be trusted to give fair and balanced reports. What type of media do you mostly get your sources from? Websites - nytimes.com, theatlantic.com, csmoniter.com Podcasts - OnPoint, NPR Poltics Do you see the media as general or segregated? Segregated. How old are you? 25 How do you see the media affecting people’s behavior? Negatively. Do you believe the media is trustworthy? It depends on the source. There is trustworthy media our there. Do you watch or read media? Both How much time do you spend on media? 1-1.5 hours a day Do you believe a particular source of media is better than the rest? I have some sources that I prefer more than others but I believe it is more a matter of preference and opinion. Do you believe media manipulates their coverage? Yes, some sources I do believe manipulate their coverage to get a certain point across rather than presenting the facts are they truly are. Has the media ever affected your perspective on something?
