    LOL 150% agreed!!!!!

I think the name of the song - "Chutney Music" says it best - When does taking a flim song and changing the words make it chutney

I think thats the name of the song

LOL finally someone made a video acknowledging the CHUTNEY FAIL right now.
I wish he would make a part two, exposing some other songs. But you know what, you guys remember "Mr.Shankar" by The Hitman several year's ago? It was the same time as Mor Tor, Schupidy and other good chutney songs. Hitman's "Mr Shankar" was a hit, and it had an indian melody "Jai Jai Shiva Shankar". Hitman then released "Rum Meh Brudda Say", that song has the melody "Rang Barse". It was another hit. I dont know if this is a conspiracy, but do you think Hitman was the one who started this "indian melody" chutney trend?

Just think about. Mr Shankar was the only song with indian melody during that time, we had Mor Tor, Ring Bang, Lolipop, Bicycle, Pitbull, Caroni Close Down, Royee Royee, Janet, Manicou, Run For Meh Life, Baka Bana, Doo Doo Darling, Cool Yourelf, Dhaiye Peegai. And then there came "Mr Shankar" the only song with an indian melody....

Ravi B - Player - Jo Wada Kiya
Ravi B - Wey Yuh Deh - Chalte Chalte
Ravi B - Shanti - Dhai Din Na Jawani
Ravi B - Cya Cum - Dekho Main Ek Sapna
    Ravi B - Ah Drinka - O Sathi Re
Ravi B - Tek It - Yeh Dard Bada
Ravi B - Dularie Nanny - Tere Naino Mere Naino Se some argue Bhoujie Chale Rahan
Ravi B - Rum Is My Lover - Akela Hoon Mein
Ravi B - Why Fight Eachother - Inhe Havao Mein Fizah

^ LOL I just found this hilarious to point out.

There's no creativity in chutney today. Most of the young artists as well are doing the same as the other artists, taking an indian song, and rewriting lyrics to them. Veekash Sahadeo, he made a song called "Facebook" took the melody from Yeh Ladka Hai Allah. Perfect example, this guy named Nirmal Singh, sang a song called "Don't Go" it was taken from Do Dil Mil Rahe. So most of the young guys are following the same style. Nothings really creative or original anymore. I know some of you are gonna say oh SUNDAR POPO or KANCHAN stole indian melodies, yes they did, but they put bhojpuri lyrics over there. They weren't going overboard like these artists of today. I watched an interview with Ravi B on the Lets Talk With Lakshmee interview, he said that their singing over indian songs for the newer generation to get in touch with the music. I find that bullshit, your just trying to rip off an old chutney song and make money. I remember the days when you could tell the different between your indian music and your chutney music. We had nice indian songs like tere rang balle balle, tere chunariya, angoori, saiyan ke saath, and then nice chutney songs like phich kare, chutney bachhanal, chutney posse, boond boond karte, hum na jaibe, maro maro, chora kaise re, na manu, karna ja me lage, sajan more, bombay ke dulahin. Nowadays people are singing "Apne Pyar Ke", "Pehli Nazar Mein" and "Prem Kahani", "Sanwali Saloni", "Chand Sitare", "Kasme Waade", "Dil Tera Aashiq" and passing them off as chutney songs. Songs originally sung by Kishore Kumar, Kumar Sanu are NOT CHUTNEY SONGS. Chutney music is supposed to be fast paced, with alot of dholak and dhantal. How can you seriously mash up the dancefloor with songs like Player? Indrani? Prem Kahani? Wey Yuh Dey? Sorry, these are CHUTNEY SONGS. Compared to the likes of Dulahin Chale, Jo Jo, Mousie Rasoyee, Young Backabana, Thar Gori Jamuna, Dheere Dheere, Mor Tor, Julnah Julaway, Lotayla, Chaadar Bechow, and others.

Well InfamousVibes just nailed it right there. Chutney really isn't chutney anymore. And it probably never will be with the newer generation. The Chutney Monarch doesn't help because its all about the fame and money from that. We have a long way to go back.

That video is stupid. I think Karma has made a few good songs.... The first guy singing in that video sounds like Videsh Sookoo(the guy who sang Dhal Belly Indian).

I don't think the blame should've directly went to Karma and Ravi B. They actually did sing some actually CHUTNEY music a few years ago, Gul Gul by Ravi B, Teer Cheer By Ravi B, Ta La La Ravi B was great too. Nisha also did a Kanchan Medley. It's not just Karma, theres a handful of artists that do the same thing, Hitman, Hunter, Anil Bheem, Andy Singh, Soca Elvis, Rikki Jai, Ranjeev, SW Storm, Omesh Singh, Melobugsz, Gayatones, Kenneth Salick, Raymond Ramnarine, JMC 3veni as well. Even new artists, Veekash Sahadeo, Nirmal Singh, Mistah Joey. The entire PUNGALUNKS factory, all thanks to Mr. Big Rich.

They video should've targeted the PUNGALUNKS FACTORY that produced shit music.
Perfect example: Whenever You See Me By Ravi B and Fiona. Why would you take Angoori from Jaanwar and turn it into a Chutney SONG? These people schupid or what? Goddamn, I see no originality in these damn people.

I think the only person who has some originality is K.I from JMC 3veni.

all i gotta say is times change, and it's inevitable.

same goes with bollywood, reggae, hip hop, house, soca, etc. all genres evolve differently over time. no artist wants to fish the past from the disposal.
