log in safe mode, and then roll back your computer to another date (before the problem
occur). and turn off automatic vista update. you should downgrade back to XP. vista is filled with bugs.

Control Panel\Security\Windows Update\Change Settings. That should do it. Try it and let me know.

I'm about to buy a Dell Inspiron 1525 and it has windows vista on it, I've used vista a few times only, looked pretty good to me. I didn't use it much to notice any deficiencies. Should I leave it at vista or request windows xp?

First of all, I dont prefer you buying a Dell. Them shits break down mad fast. I prefer an HP or Toshiba. I prefer Windows Vista because its the latest of course. So far, I didnt find one bug on Vista. XP is good also but not for these times of age. Each is good but Vista is pretty..lol

I figured we would have a difference in preferences, I prefer Dell over HP or Toshiba, lol. I ordered it today so I can't do anything now. Anyways, thanks for your input. Cheers!

ahh in some ways, vista is better than xp. for example, the look, and the search indexer. its also better if you have alot of music [eg. remixers.]

although, vista does have a few bugs here and there.
for example... in sony acid pro when you are EQ'ing, a help box pops up every time... other than that i like vista

Its only a matter of time b4 every1 has to use vista, XP is great but its on its way out. It will be missed. I went from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate (Cracked and Updates), Vista Ultimate has less bug than the lower versions but the defender is still a pain in the ass but you get use to it. Vista is way faster than XP you just need a GOOD computer with a equally good video card. With a good computer Vista runs like butter.
