Your thoughts Mr.Stylistic's Second Sunday.

Well it's November 25th, and we're almost nearing the end of 2011. This year has brought us many great cds and also some very not so great cds. Overall the remix scene is still going, and we still have three labels putting out cds, KBIS, De Joint and Big Shat.

Releasing next week from KBIS, is Mr.Stylistic's Second Sunday. This CD is the 3rd release under the the wedding series, Bring De Bhariat, and Under the Maro, now its Second Sunday. Seeing how the previous 2 cds were successes, there are high hopes for Second Sunday. Unlike many cds that release today, this is a remixed CD. Also, this is Stylistic's first remix cd after his return to KBIS.

I thought Summer Slam was the fourth in the "Wedding Series". When exactly is this coming out? btw, heard Memory Lane 2 is coming for christmas 2011.

Lol guys. First was Bring De Bhariat, then there was Under the Maro, now the third release to the series is Second Sunday.

Wedding night was done with De Joint, so it doesn't have any affiliation with Bring De Bhariat or Under the Maro. Summerslam was with Big Shat, therefore no affiliation either.

Yes this cd is dropping next week and it should be rather interesting too see what Stylistic has up his sleeves after his return to KBIS. From what I hear, this cd is BANGING, completely rare indian tunes. If your a fan of Bhariat, and Under De Maro, you'll definitely like this release.

 

You are correct, Memory Lane 2 is coming out this December, I saw the tracklisting, this one is actually BETTER then the first part.

As well as the Best Of Shammi Kapoor, Start The Party, Play It Again, Best Of Big Shat 2, Roti Shop, and Love Rocks.

Just hope there some new tracks on there kind of sick of hearing the same song on like every other cd now a days! Don't get me work there remix are hot and the Dee Jay took time out to do it but just hoping the selection is good.

 

well the last i check Wedding Nite was the third installment ,, but Infamouse u seems to have some inside knowledge that i am no privy to.. lol.
But as far as this cd ,, ido wish massive success for stylistic and kbis but and u know a but is coming.. Its the wrong friggin time to put out a cd like this. who was the brilliant mastermind that came up with putting out a wedding cd in December .. Stylistic does the wedding theme cds in summer memorial day weekend release.. that the fitting time since that when there is alot of wedding going on. but good luck to them cuz after december and when jan/ feb hits and business die down so will be the cd also.
december is all genre cd and chutney cd time not this or oldies indian .. just my opinion on the matter

 

Fa reel bro. High hopes in my mind for this CD; I always liked his CD's better when he was in KBIS compared to his BigShat releases.

since wen was there a set time to release a certain type of cd? reguardless the cd will sell and be played...thats like saying u cant do a love cd in the summer cuz its the time for partying....

 

Maybe the cd was meant to release in the summer and got delayed, I rather it be delayed than have a cd that wasn't done to it's full potential.

 

Samples are now up on the site, check it out! Honestly, after taking a listen to the samples, this CD is excellent. Don't just take my word for it, take a listen. This CD definitely sounds like Bring De Bhariat and Under De Maro. I believe that Stylistic was beginning to get stale remixing oldies over and over again with Big Shat & De Joint. Great to see him mixing late 80's and 90's. Awesome cd here guys, mostly rare tunes, and a couple people know.

Roger, you would probably know when putting out a cd is best. I heard that end of the year is a good time of the year to put out cds, thats when stores demand previous cds that came out, so they can put it back in stores just for the season. And yes, after January/February time, sales go downhill. I see your points Roger, but I guess *** had his reasons for releasing the CD in November. No doubt about it though, its a good damn cd.
