I don't use soundcloud a lot but it still has remixes that I would never think of finding on Spotify, stuff like bootleg remixes or even low-effort joke stuff that I still come back to.

I still do from time to time, but only for mixes because those would never be on Spotify.

I like SoundCloud because they have different remixes than other streaming platforms (and you can find almost any song on there). Like if you want to hear a remix of a song you like, you can browse through so many different ones that you might find a new favourite or one that suits the particular vibe you're looking for. So as a listener you can compile playlists that might be more specific or unique than other streaming platforms. As a DJ, there are so many remixes and edits on SoundCloud that are available to download via third party websites (bandcamp, hypeddit, etc.) For example I just searched "Drake" and "Amapiano Remix" and found a couple of tracks I would definitely use in my sets!

I feel like the ads get out of hand and are buggy at the same time, there’s been a lot of times where they’d play 2 30 second ads for 1 song each or play un-skippable 2 min ads.

The remixes you find on soundcloud are way more superior than you would find anywhere else

Yes, and there's still a lot of Djs adding new tracks, also my home theater media player has soundcloud built in and mainly use that.
