JL Audio is great. I was going to get two of the W3's in my car but I went ahead and threw in a budget system which consists of 2 12in Kicker Comp, the yellow lower class ones. When I do save up I will go with 2 12in Kicker Comp R the red ones. I cant complain with the ones I have now because they pick up the deep notes I just need more power, 500 RMS is like nothing for me. I have also heard a lot about Sundown audio, Pioneer also has some affordable subs but I hear rumors that they are not the best ones? I am not sure if that's true or not. Does anyone here know something about DB Subwoofers? The guy at the audio store said its better than Kicker but Ive never heard of them before.
In the car audio world there are a few brands competition sub wise that are good for bass, and taking a beating. American Bass Sundown Audio RE Audio Skar Audio FI BTL Kaption I've had two of these brands personally and they have given me crazy nice, clean hitting bass. Thing is with these brands you'd have to make you own custom enclosures. Some of which require a lot of space.
two kind of subs out there... the brands your get in the retail store and then then ones you get direct from manufacture\speciality shops. Everyone has a certain amount of bass they like, some are happy with a single 10 and 300RMS when there are guys like me where your spoiler will break, lights will blow and car alarms will sound but yet I still want more.... my top 5 brands in no order: -Fi Audio <--- current setup -DC Audio -Sundown Audio -DD Audio (Digital Designs) -PSI Audio
