I put all the hindi songs together cuz i dont have time to go back from folder to folder [when mixing]. beats are all piled in one folder also. reggae songs are in their own folder. bhangra songs have their own folder but are placed in the hindi section of my comp lol. remixes are organized by dj name / album name. the remixes that are kind of annoying but enjoyable are in one folder as well lmao. then bad quality songs are in their own folder.

my ipod is really organized tho. everything has the correct title, album, artist name, genre, ratings, and album pic.

acid projects in one folder. but whatever. GTRyan87's one is the most organized lmao.

Track Name, Song name, Artist. Music folder has subfolders for albums and specific DJ mixes. All the information fields are filled out so I can organize it by the click of a button, whether by genre, year or whatever. Pretty organized!

That's is extremely extensive, do you go through all of these during a live gig... The easiest way, I have found to organize, is in segments.... such as early warm, girls tune, bad man tune, etc... but I am always, working on being more organized.... Interested to hear more on you organization, and are you using Serato.....

well this is the way i organize the music.. but from this i make playlists.. i choose the best remixes of each song and list it here.. that way i dont type in "dulahin chale" and have 10 songs pop up that i don't know which one is the best.. this organizing way picks out the best and divides it up into groups from which you can make your playlists quicker..

im gonna start making up playlists the way you do it also.. early mid ending etc.. so ill see how i can find an easy way to set that up.. and i use vdj right now.. not on serato yet

I understand your method, but I am transitioning from cds, do you use an external HD. Do you upload from cds or just for the net. also you us VDJ live, the program is hot but does VDJ have an interface, I am working with serato 1.9. it's a very good program, but I am killing myself setting cues, the best way for me right now, I am organizing is to put all my song in playlist in itunes by riddims, then I will start making more segment and preparing sets. Organizing make the whole pocess faster and more entertaining...

yea i use the my passport from WD.. its pretty good.. its easier since i keep my music one place rather than having to transfer from my desktop to the laptop which takes forever.. yea VDJ is pretty good.. you can map out your tracks and beat match it easily.. for me it saves time because i just make the playlists according to how i want to play and what will mix well, then vdj handles the rest (cues, beat matching, etc).. yea keeping your riddims together is definetely a good idea.. i always group my riddims together which allows u to get to them quicker and play around with them when ur playing live.. just to show you.. all my tracks are labeled this way..
    <Track Number> - <Artist/DJ> - <Album> - <Track>.... and sometimes i even add artists and DJ in there

I use Media Monkey Gold to organize mine.
Lots of different skins to choose from and very simple and fast.
